Chrystal Kornegay currently serves as Executive Director of MassHousing which lends over $1 billion annually to produce and preserve affordable rental housing and create homeownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income borrowers. Under her leadership, MassHousing launched a highly successful Down Payment Assistance program; secured over $80 million to expand its Workforce Housing initiative; and developed a nationally recognized program for homeownership production in communities of color.
Before joining MassHousing, Chrystal served as the Baker-Polito Administration's Undersecretary for Housing and Community Development. Prior to her work as Undersecretary, she was President and Chief Executive Officer at Urban Edge, one of New England’s largest community development corporations.
Angelo Nuby has been with MassHousing since 2007. As the Senior Relationship Non-Profit Manager in the HomeOwnership Division, he specializes in outreach to underserved markets, financial education and increasing minority lending within the Commonwealth. Angelo works with non-profits, faith-based organizations, municipalities and Realtors to access programs that educate prospective homeowners. He has more than 35 years of mortgage and retail banking experience with national and regional institutions.
Symone Crawford joined MAHA's staff in 2018 after serving on the board of directors since 2014. Symone lives in Mattapan and worked for Encompass Insurance for 17 years, most recently as a claims service leader. She serves on the state's Racial Equity Advisory Council for Homeownership (REACH) and as secretary of the board of the Midas Collaborative.
Elliot Schmiedl re-joined MHP in March 2016 as the Program Manager for the Homeownership team and was promoted to Director of Homeownership in August 2016. He is responsible for advancing homeownership priorities and goals, including MHP's efforts to close the racial homeownership and wealth gaps. Day-to-day he is focused on strengthening strategic partnerships, marketing the ONE Mortgage and ONE+Boston programs, and managing the homeownership team. In his earlier position at MHP, he was a Senior Program Associate, working with lenders and non-profit community partners to administer the SoftSecond and ONE Mortgage Programs.
David Eng is the Strategic Partnership/Program Development Specialist for the Community Services Department at MassHousing, where he manages interagency relationships and collaborative programs, including most recently the Agency's support of the Commonwealth's senior housing COVID vaccination efforts. David has worked on issues of housing and homelessness for persons with disabilities for nearly 30 years. He previously worked for the Mass. Departments of Housing and Community Development and Mental Health, as well as nonprofit, service provider agencies.
Trevor Samios oversees the operation of Connected Communities, WinnResidential's collective impact model for housing-based human services across it's affordable and mixed-income national housing portfolio. The Connected Communities team works closely with a developed network of over 1,500 national service partners, working to relieve barriers to resource access while informing public policy decisions. Prior to joining WinnCompanies in 2017, Trevor served as the Director of Community Impact at Preservation of Affordable Housing and led operations for the Community Impact team at The Community Builders.
Amy Stitely is the Chief of Programs at the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, where she is responsible for overseeing Public Housing, Rental Assistance, and Community Service programs. Since the start of the COVID-19 emergency, Amy has been working around the clock to deploy state and federal pandemic relief funds to renters, landlords, homeowners, and small business owners. 
A seasoned professional with more than 15 years of experience in Human Resources, Myra Carmona oversees MassHousing's investment in staff development and organizational improvement; drives employee engagement, inclusion and recognition; and leads the Agency's learning and professional development programs. Prior to joining MassHousing, Myra led a human resources team for the City of Manassas Park, Virginia, working closely with the city's police and fire departments in recruitment, leadership development and performance management. As Director of Human Resources at The Community Builders, she developed a recruitment process; managed employee relations, performance management systems and a mentoring program; and helped to create efficiencies with the use of technology.
Tameka Moss has more than 20Â years of experience in organizational and leadership development. She applies her talent management experience to advise clients on the best approach to attract, retain, and develop their talent. Her experience spans from managing diverse work teams and overseeing organizational assessments, to solution design, facilitation and execution for industries as diverse as financial services, manufacturing, retail, professional services, not-for-profit, healthcare and pharmaceuticals. Tameka also specializes in equity/access,
economic and leadership development.
Celia Richa serves as Senior Vice President, Programs at the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, overseeing all programming and events, including leadership and talent development and economic opportunity initiatives, for 1,300 corporate members. In this role, Celia manages the region's largest and most active women's network and its Advisory Board. She came to the Chamber from the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate, where she created programs dedicated to educating the public about current affairs, policy and the U.S. government, as Director of Public Programs.
As Director of Diversity & Inclusion, Andrea Laing leads MassHousing’s efforts to support diverse businesses in the construction, property management, and supplier diversity sectors, creating and implementing policies and procedures that provide clear direction and technical assistance. Prior to joining the MassHousing, Andrea was Director of Compliance with the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance. Andrea has more than 30 years of experience in housing, including underwriting, program development, compliance, first-time homebuyer education, and advocacy. She holds certifications in Public Contracting, Construction Management at Risk, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Mediation.
Dave Madan is the founder and president of the Builders of Color Coalition (BCC), a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing access and diversity in Boston's commercial real estate sector, to create generational impact and expand economic opportunity. Dave is also the co-founder and president of the Boston Farms Community Land Trust, and partner at Boston Investments.
As Director of Racial Equity and Community Engagement, Travis is responsible for ensuring that MHIC financed projects maximize the participation of both businesses owned by people of color and workers of color. To help support this work, he created the Access and Opportunity Network, which serves as a repository of news, strategies, resources and best practices to help construction projects maximize racial equity. Additionally, Travis serves as Chairman of the Boston Employment Commission, is a member of the Mayor's Supplier Diversity Council, and a board member of YouthBuild Boston and NEI's Workforce Opportunity Resource Center.
Nancy McDonald serves as the Director of Government Affairs for MassHousing. She has worked at the Agency since 1996, helping to shape policy direction and goals. Nancy oversees the Agency's legislative efforts by building coalitions at the federal, state and municipal levels to advance the work of MassHousing and its public mission. Prior to her work at MassHousing, Nancy worked as a Policy Analyst at the Executive Office of Education and on the staff for Governor William Weld. She also worked in the Massachusetts Legislature in a variety of capacities, including as a legislative aide and a budget analyst in the House of Representatives
Chris Kluchman oversees and coordinates programs in the Community Services Division including land use, economic development, and technical assistance functions at the Department of Housing and Community Development. She manages several programs including the Housing Choice Initiative, grants for rural communities and in support of local planning. Prior to her work for the Commonwealth, she worked for the Town of Westford for seven years as the Director of Land Use Management and Town Planner.
Ryan Dominguez is a policy analyst at CHAPA who is responsible for overseeing CHAPA’s federal policy and research as well as coordinating the New England Housing Network. Prior to joining CHAPA, Ryan worked as a staffer for Massachusetts State Representative Chynah Tyler. Ryan holds a bachelor's degree from Northeastern University and is a current Master's in Public Policy candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School.
MassHousing is an independent, quasi-public agency created in 1966 and charged with providing financing for affordable housing in Massachusetts. The Agency raises capital by selling bonds and lends the proceeds to low- and moderate-income homebuyers and homeowners, and to developers who build or preserve affordable and/or mixed-income rental housing. MassHousing does not use taxpayer dollars to sustain its operations, although it administers some publicly funded programs on behalf of the Commonwealth. Since its inception, MassHousing has provided more than $27 billion for affordable housing.
